The new Hallmark Channel The Christmas Train did filming in Vancouver BC this fall and I was able to catch some of the evening filming at the old main train station Pacific Central Station. Its a beautiful old building using for trains and buses in and out of the city.
When I arrived they were setting up the front outside front entrance and also the inside of the building in all kinds of Christmas decorations. They had a huge tree inside at the center of the lobby with other garlands and lights around the room. When they started filming they began behind the building where the trains were located. I did notice lights and decor behind the building and filming there as well. The filming was primarily with Dermot Mulroney and Kimberly Williams-Paisley with other actors with them and some children caroling. They gathered around the huge Christmas tree listening to the children sing and then moved across the lobby. I was able to to watch with the crew while they were filming inside the building. It was also fun to watch director Ron Oliver do his magic directors work with the actors and set. The filming was only a few weeks in the Vancouver BC area.
The Christmas Train airs on November 25th at 8:00 pm.
